I've been an entrepreneur all my life, with extreme highs and extreme lows. This blog deals with aspects of that journey; mistakes I've made, things I got right, and what I've learned along the way.

It Ain't Easy! If it Were ...
Starting and running a business is not easy; if it were, everyone would do it. It requires vision, discipline dedication, and ... perhaps, a little serendipity
Sometimes it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time with the right idea. Every once in a while that will work for a select few. Many of the great entrepreneur stories read like great fiction; serendipity + good energy = the right opportunity.
Yet, while the opportunity may sometimes be lucky, what sets successful entrepreneurs apart from their peers is what they do with that opportunity. Making the right choices in the right situations requires insight, vision, and strategic planning before the opportunity arises.
Sometimes people make their own luck, simply by putting themselves and their business ideas out their in the world.
Alex Farkas, the owner of Ugallery.com was quoted as comparing entrepreneurship to hanging art; "You can't be afraid to put a nail in the wall."
